2019 Short Course Skeletal Dysplasias Across the Human Lifespan
2019 Short Course Somatic Mutation Testing in Cancer
About this course

Short Courses are half day courses held on the Tuesday afternoon prior to the official start of the Annual Clinical Genetics meeting. These courses are focused on one particular topic and allow participants an additional opportunity to earn educational credits.

Skeletal dysplasias are disorders in bone development and can present any time during the human life cycle, from the prenatal period to adulthood.  The clinical presentations of skeletal dysplasias differ with respect to the time at which the dysplasia is first suspected in the life cycle of the affected individual and the presenting symptoms.  Due to these variabilities in presentation, there is a need for providers across many specialties to be aware of these disorders so that the patient can be appropriately counseled and referred for definitive diagnosis and potential treatment.  This course is intended to bridge the knowledge gaps across all types of care providers so that these patients are treated appropriately.

Educational Credits Offered: CME, P.A.C.E. ®, NSGC, CEUs.
